2. What Data We Collect

  • Account data: name, email address, hashed password
  • Usage data: number of conversions, folders created, plan type
  • Uploaded documents: PDF files uploaded for conversion (temporarily processed)
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device info (for security & debugging)
  • Cookie data: session cookies, language preference

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide the PDF to Word conversion service
  • To manage your account and subscription
  • To enforce plan limits (conversion counts, folder limits)
  • To improve our service and fix bugs
  • To communicate service updates (only if opted in)

4. Document Processing

PDF files are processed on our servers located in the EU (Germany). Files are processed temporarily and automatically deleted after conversion.

We do NOT read, analyze, or store the content of your documents beyond what's needed for conversion.

Converted DOCX files are stored until downloaded or synced, then follow our retention policy.

5. Data Retention

  • Account data: kept until account deletion
  • Uploaded PDFs: deleted within 24 hours after conversion
  • Converted DOCX files: deleted within 7 days after creation
  • Usage logs: kept for 90 days
  • Cookie consent: remembered for 12 months

6. Your Rights (GDPR Articles 13–22)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the following rights:

  • Right to access — request a copy of all your data
  • Right to rectification — correct inaccurate data

  • Passwords are hashed (never stored in plain text)
  • All connections use HTTPS/TLS encryption
  • Database access is restricted to the application server only
  • Regular security updates applied to server infrastructure
